UNITY, INSPIRATION & FUN!!!

The Hunger Project (THP) empowers women and men to end their own hunger and poverty on a sustainable basis through an integrated, replicable and affordable approach to people-centered development.

Our programs in Africa, South Asia and Latin America provide women and men living in poverty with the opportunity to lead healthy and productive lives, meet their own basic needs and build better futures for their children.

All of our programs are based on three essential pillars:
(1) mobilizing village clusters at the grassroots level to build self-reliance;
(2) empowering women as key change agents; and
(3) forging effective partnerships with local government.

The first $36,000 raised are allocated to The Hunger Project and money raised above and beyond, will be allocated to various Houston Women’s initiatives

Your investment will change lives:

$25 could provide work- books and chalk to one of our nursery schools in Africa.

$50 could provide antimalarial bednets to five families.

$100 could support a training course for women in South Asia.

$500 could allow a community to purchase food processing equipment.

$1,000 could enable a community to drill a borehole to provide safe drinking water.
